Highly popular on social media and receiving rave reviews during its soft opening, Dubai's first Japanese hand roll bar is surprisingly delicious and highly recommended.
Specializing in hand rolls, this restaurant's menu focuses on seaweed-wrapped delights. There are no hot dishes; instead, the menu features hand rolls, Nigiri, sashimi, and a few refreshing salads.
There are two main reasons why this place is worth visiting. First, the ingredients are incredibly fresh. All the sashimi items are displayed right on the counter, with clearly labeled A5 wagyu and various cuts of tuna. We ordered scallops, wagyu, and toro (fatty tuna), and the quality was exceptional. The seasoning and preparation were perfect, offering a truly satisfying dining experience where what you see is what you get.
I know that finding high-quality Japanese food in Dubai can be expensive, and sometimes the high cost doesn't guarantee good quality. However, this place is worth every penny. The second reason to visit is the pricing. They offer several set menus for hand rolls. We chose a set of four for 120 AED. Each person ordered a set, which included four Nigiri (scallops and fatty tuna), two wagyu Nigiri, and a tuna side dish. With drinks, the total came to 300 AED per person. While we did order a bit more than necessary, every item was delicious.
Honestly, this quality at such a price is hard to find elsewhere. It was a fantastic dining experience, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
