How to report car damage in rainy weather in Dubai? You don't have to go to the police station to get a certificate now!
Dubai car owners whose cars were recently damaged due to heavy rains can now obtain a 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate online for their car insurance claims.
The certificate will be required when making an insurance claim for any damage caused to the vehicle. On Monday, Dubai Police announced that it has automated the certificate process, a service specifically for vehicles damaged by natural disasters, especially those affected by recent weather conditions and heavy rains.
So no more trips to the police station! Dubai Police has simplified the 'To Whom It May Concern' rain damage certificate process.
Previously, vehicle owners had to take their vehicles to the nearest police station for an inspection to verify the cause of damage and then issue a certificate.
Now, all you need to do is attach a photo of the damage on the Dubai Police website, dubaipolice.gov.ae, or via the 'Dubai Police' app, and you can get the certificate within a few days.
