Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled plans for a new weekend-only bus route, aimed at bolstering transportation options for residents and visitors heading to Al Mamzar Beach.
Announced on Thursday, the new route, designated as W20, is scheduled to commence operations on Friday, February 9. Operating exclusively on weekends, from Friday to Sunday, the service will run between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m., offering departures every half hour.
The primary objective of route W20 is to provide convenient access for passengers traveling from the Metro station to Al Mamzar Beach. This initiative comes as part of RTA's ongoing efforts to enhance public transportation services and accommodate the needs of beachgoers.
In addition to the introduction of route W20, RTA has outlined plans to optimize several existing public bus routes. These optimizations aim to improve the overall transportation experience for commuters and ensure smoother journeys to various destinations throughout the UAE.
By streamlining mobility options and reducing travel time, RTA aims to simplify the process for bus commuters while enhancing connectivity across the emirate. The enhancements are expected to offer greater convenience and satisfaction to passengers, aligning with RTA's broader vision for a more efficient and accessible public transportation network in Dubai.
With the introduction of route W20 and ongoing optimizations, RTA remains committed to providing innovative transportation solutions that meet the evolving needs of Dubai's residents and visitors.
