Renowned broadcasters Kwame Saefa Kayi and Abeiku Santana have been invited by the police. Kwame Sefa Kayi and Abeiku Santana have finally been invited by the police over the 2019 VGMA fracas. Per a report sighted by greenhallmedia.com Kayi was the MC during the awards night and Abeiku who presented the award to Stonebwoy will assist the police for further investigation.
The VGMA was marred after a fight broke out between the camp of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. It all happened, when Shatta Wale, unannounced, went to the stage to allegedly congratulate Stonebwoy after the latter won the Dancehall Artiste of the Year. Due to the confusion, the Ashaiman-born singer Stonebwoy pulled out a gun. On Sunday, May 19, 2019, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were arrested before they were released the following day. Earlier,Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were granted bail each after appearing in court over their fracas which led to chaos at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2019). Appearing in court in Accra on Wednesday, the two pleaded not guilty to their respective charges.
