The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah has signed an agreement with the Sultanate of Oman's Muscat Governorate (represented by the Oman National Transport Company, Mwasalat) to operate direct buses between Muscat Province and Sharjah on a daily basis.
This new service aims to expand and strengthen the international bus transportation network between Oman and the UAE, enhance tourism exchanges between the two brotherly countries, and provide passengers with as many transport options as possible while increasing comfort and reducing travel time.
Under the agreement, the Sharjah RTA will operate buses daily from the Sharjah Al Jubail Bus Station to and from the Muscat Al Athiba Bus Station. Mwasalat, the Oman Public Transport Company, will commence bus operations in Sharjah starting on February 27th.
The buses will pass through Shinas, with fares starting from 10 Omani riyals (one-way) and 29 Omani riyals (round-trip). The luggage limit is 7 kilograms (carry-on) and 23 kilograms (checked baggage).
The first bus will depart from the Azaiba Bus Station at 6:30 AM and arrive at Sharjah's Al Jubail Bus Station at 3:40 PM.
The second bus will depart from the Azaiba Bus Station at 4:00 PM and arrive at Sharjah's Al Jubail Bus Station at 1:10 AM.
According to the schedule from Sharjah, the first bus will depart from the Al Jubail Bus Station at 6:30 AM and arrive at the Azaiba Bus Station at 2:30 PM. The second bus will depart from the Al Jubail Bus Station at 4:00 PM and arrive at the Azaiba Bus Station at 11:50 PM.
