UAE - In a bid to maintain the integrity of its visa system and ensure compliance with immigration laws, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced hefty fines for those found violating visa regulations.
The move comes as part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to enhance security measures and regulate the entry and stay of foreigners in the country.
The UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, in collaboration with the Immigration, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), has introduced a comprehensive framework to address various administrative violations related to Emirati identity cards, residency services, and foreign affairs.
According to the ICP, individuals and institutions found guilty of violating visa regulations will face fines ranging from 20 dirhams to a staggering 20,000 dirhams, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
Among the offenses targeted by the new regulations is the issuance of visas or entry permits to institutions that are not actively engaged in any legitimate activities.
The strict penalties underscore the UAE's commitment to maintaining law and order within its borders and ensuring that visa-related processes are conducted transparently and in accordance with established regulations.
By deterring violations and imposing significant fines, authorities aim to safeguard the country's security and protect the interests of its residents and visitors.
The implementation of these measures reflects the UAE's proactive approach to immigration management and underscores its determination to uphold the rule of law. As the UAE continues to prioritize security and regulatory compliance, individuals and organizations are urged to familiarize themselves with visa requirements and adhere to all relevant guidelines to avoid facing penalties.
