UAE : After 250 traffic violations and a fine of Dh108,000 in the UAE, this Omani's fine was actually waived
During the visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman to the UAE on April 22nd, several memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed between the two countries covering various sectors including investment, renewable energy, sustainable development, railways, technology, and education.
Following the visit, the UAE has decided to waive all traffic fines incurred by Omani citizens in the UAE from 2018 to 2023. This decision came as part of the strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to UAE media reports, one Omani citizen had accumulated a total of 250 traffic violations over a period of five years, resulting in fines totaling AED 108,000. However, as a gesture of goodwill and in line with the diplomatic efforts to enhance cooperation between the UAE and Oman, the fines have been waived for this individual.
This action demonstrates the UAE's dedication to nurturing favorable relationships with neighboring nations and advancing mutual understanding and collaboration across different sectors. It further highlights the significance of diplomatic initiatives in addressing challenges and fortifying connections among regional countries.
