Authorities hailed this as a significant breakthrough in combating cybercrime following a multi-agency raid on a Chinese-run company, terming it a "major crackdown on cybercrime."
Devices seized during the operation included equipment allowing callers to conceal their locations and thousands of SIM cards.
The raid on the upscale suburb of Roma in the capital city of Lusaka was led by the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), with involvement from the police, immigration department, and counter-terrorism units.
