The UAE Ministry of Interior (MoI) recently released the "Open Data" from the 2023 road safety statistics, revealing which roads and streets are more prone to traffic accidents.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311), a major highway running from Al Falah in Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah, recorded the highest number of casualties last year, with 266 people affected, including 223 injuries and 43 deaths.
The second most dangerous road is Emirates Road, with 18 deaths and 104 injuries, totaling 122 casualties.
Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road ranked third, with 16 deaths and 131 injuries, resulting in a total of 147 casualties.
In fourth place is the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road, with 171 injuries and 13 deaths, totaling 184 casualties.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road ranks fifth, with 134 injuries and 12 deaths, resulting in a total of 146 casualties.
