basket ball court in philippines pays tribute to uae leaders

Not long ago the UAE passport became the world's most powerful passport in 2024, with commentators claiming that the UAE's international influence is growing by the day. This was recently reconfirmed by a basketball court featuring UAE leaders at the iconic Lope De Vega Basketball Court in Manila, Philippines.

In Philippine courts, sports icons such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are usually painted on the floor, with national leaders being a rarity.

The artist behind the painting of the court is named Maya Carandang, and according to him, this is his 47th custom-painted basketball court, and this work is not only a tribute to the UAE leaders, but also a heartfelt thank you from the Filipino community to the UAE leaders.

The piece recognizes the exceptional leadership of UAE leaders and the invaluable support the UAE provides to the Philippines, whose generosity has had a profound impact on the lives of countless Filipinos.

During times of disaster, such as the 2020 volcanic eruption in the Philippines, UAE aid poured in to the victims. In addition, the UAE has donated 100,000 New Crown vaccines, RT-PCR machines, and created domestic and international employment opportunities for Filipinos, positively impacting the lives of people across the Philippines.
