High Stakes: China Extradites 130 Suspects from Cambodia in Major Crackdown on Gambling and Fraud

The first batch of 130 Chinese suspects involved in gambling and fraud were escorted back from Cambodia.

In the early morning of April 13th, two Chinese civil aviation charter flights landed at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in Hubei Province, carrying the first batch of 130 Chinese nationals suspected of involvement in gambling and fraud crimes, who were extradited from Cambodia by Chinese public security authorities.

This marks the first extradition mission organized by Chinese and Cambodian police this year, signaling the joint efforts of both countries' law enforcement agencies in cracking down on gambling and fraud-related crimes.

In recent years, in order to crack down on prominent crimes such as cross-border gambling and telecommunications fraud, Chinese and Cambodian police have closely cooperated and worked together to deepen their crackdown efforts, achieving significant results. Building on previous work, in accordance with the national deployment of cracking down on and preventing cross-border gambling, Chinese public security authorities, together with Cambodian police, recently organized a joint operation to combat gambling and fraud-related crimes. During the operation, Cambodian police raided multiple gambling and fraud dens in Sihanoukville, apprehending a large number of Chinese nationals suspected of illegal activities and confiscating a batch of servers, computers, mobile phones, and other tools used in the commission of crimes.

Under the command of the Ministry of Public Security, a working group from Hubei Public Security Bureau was dispatched to Cambodia to work with Cambodian police on the extradition mission. From now on, the aforementioned individuals will be extradited back to China in batches via civil aviation charter flights. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
