Attention everyone: With the sighting of the Sha'ban crescent moon in the skies of the UAE on Saturday, February 10th, it's time to mark your calendars as there's just one month left until the holy month of Ramadan begins.
The announcement of the Sha'ban crescent moon sighting was made by the UAE's International Astronomy Center through several social media posts on Saturday. The images of the faint crescent were captured by the Al Khatim Astronomical Observatory in Abu Dhabi, with the first photo taken at 11:00 AM and the second around sunset.

As a result, February 10th marks the end of the month of Rajab, and February 11th will be considered Sha'ban 1 in the UAE, indicating that there is only one month left until the start of Ramadan.
According to the calendar issued by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the month of Sha'ban is expected to last for 30 days, with Ramadan commencing on March 12th (Tuesday).
