K.T. HAMMOND INSISTS CEMENT L.I. WILL NOT BE BLOCKED.

The Minister for Trade and Industry, K.T. Hammond, has insisted that attempts to block the cement L.I. will not materialize. The L.I. aims to regulate the cement industry, but some stakeholders have opposed it. Hammond says the government will go ahead with the regulation.

"We will not be intimidated," said Hammond. "The L.I. is in the best interest of Ghanaians." The opposition has accused the government of trying to stifle competition in the industry, but Hammond says the regulation is necessary to protect consumers.

The cement industry has been plagued by problems, including the influx of substandard cement. The government says the regulation will help to address these problems and ensure that only quality cement is sold in the market.
