During his recent inauguration as the running mate for the new patriotic party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh made a comment which got a section of Ghanaians angry.
Dr. Prempeh had made statements that were perceived as disrespectful and divisive, sparking widespread criticism and outrage.
He has however rendered an apology for his recent comments about Ghana's first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
In a statement released today, 12th July 2024, Dr. Prempeh acknowledged the hurt and offense his words caused and expressed his deep regret.
In the letter, he said "the statement reflects my personal opinion about President Akufo-Addo's impact. I note the concerns raised after my statement. I apologize sincerely and regret any discomfort caused."
