UAE - According to the report, 52% of employees in the UAE said they would prefer to work with AI (Artificial Intelligence) "coworkers" rather than human colleagues.
According to the report, "AI may impact employee retention as its increasing use in the workplace will gradually change employee behavior."
About 25 percent of UAE employees said they were affected by AI and were forced to look for a new job.
Additionally, employees are more willing to use AI as a tool when changing jobs, with 41% of UAE respondents saying they would be open to AI screening their own job applications, suggesting that the future of recruitment may be changing.
The UAE is one of the world's leading countries when it comes to deploying generative AI, with 74% of UAE employees using AI in the workplace on a weekly basis. This is because generative AI or ChatGPT can be used to create new content including audio, code, images, text and video.
The percentage of UAE employees trained in AI (84%) is also said to be higher than the global average (64%).
However, Meta's Chief AI Scientist assured that AI is not going to happen anytime soon in terms of replacing humans and there is no need for anyone to be overly worried.
