The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pledged to invest $10 billion in Pakistan's most promising economic sectors, according to the UAE Investment Department.
This announcement came after a meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohammed and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday, aimed at fostering cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the UAE President and the Pakistani Prime Minister discussed cooperation opportunities across various sectors, particularly in the economic and trade fields.
Sharif expressed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE, with plans to expand cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, and investment.
While visiting the UAE, Sharif participated in a roundtable discussion titled "Joint Innovation: UAE-Pakistan Technology Cooperation" in Abu Dhabi. He encouraged Pakistani and Emirati tech entrepreneurs to enhance collaboration in the IT and telecommunications sectors.
