The municipal government in Abu Dhabi has introduced a new measure on major roads within the city to enhance driver safety by highlighting revised speed limits through the installation of red markings.
This initiative primarily targets some significant roads, including the Abu Dhabi to Al Ain Road (E-22) in the Sas Al Nakhl area, where the speed limit for vehicles traveling in the Abu Dhabi direction has been reduced from 120 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour.
At the Sweihan Bridge intersection in the Baniyas direction, the speed limit has been lowered from 140 kilometers per hour to 120 kilometers per hour.
Furthermore, the speed limit for vehicles traveling in the direction of Baniyas Cemetery on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Street (E-311) has also been reduced from 120 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour.
Similarly, the speed limit for vehicles traveling along Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (E-10) towards Sheikh Zayed Bridge has been adjusted from 120 kilometers per hour to 100 kilometers per hour.
