CHINA - Former Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang Resigns as National People's Congress Delegate
According to Xinhua News Agency, the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal People's Congress announced on Tuesday (February 27th) that it has accepted the resignation of Qin Gang from the position of delegate to the 14th National People's Congress.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses", Qin Gang's qualifications as a delegate have been terminated.
According to the announcement, a total of 11 delegates to the National People's Congress have had their qualifications terminated, with seven delegates being dismissed, including Wang Yixin, Sun Biao, Hu Jianwen, Lei Dongzhu, Zhu Hong, An Jiuxiong, and Li Zhizhong. Additionally, four individuals have resigned from their delegate positions, including Huang Jiawu, Qin Gang, Feng Jiehong, and Lu Weiwei.
As of now, there are a total of 2,956 delegates in the 14th National People's Congress.
