Cambodia : Crackdown on Phone Scams in Cambodia Set to Begin? US Ambassador Hopes for Major Breakthrough in Cambodian-American Law Enforcement Cooperation
According to reports from Cambodian media, on the afternoon of May 15th, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng met with outgoing US Ambassador to Cambodia, Patrick Murphy, at the Ministry of Interior.
Sar Kheng highly praised Ambassador Murphy for his positive contributions to promoting the development of Cambodia-US relations during his tenure. He described Murphy as a knowledgeable diplomat well-versed in the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, who has built a bridge for the more than 70-year friendship between Cambodia and the United States.
Sar Kheng also expressed gratitude for the assistance and support provided by the United States to Cambodia over the past four decades.
Ambassador Murphy expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Cambodian government in protecting national security and expressed willingness to maintain close cooperation with US law enforcement agencies.
