A senior meteorologist at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) revealed in an interview that rainfall is expected on February 25th and 26th. He stated that rain is most likely to occur on Sunday night or early Monday morning.
Dubai and Sharjah are expected to experience light to moderate rain, while Fujairah and its surrounding areas may see heavy rain.
Interestingly, on social media, students and working professionals are eagerly anticipating the rain, with many leaving messages "pleading" NCM to make the rain heavier on Monday.
One student wrote, "Dear NCM, I implore you to make it rain in the UAE before sunrise on Monday. I have a completely pointless exam on Monday, and I'm sure no one in my grade wants to take this exam. Thank you."
Another person commented, "Dear NCM, please let it rain heavily in the UAE on Monday because I have an English mock exam. Please make it rain heavily so that my friends and I don't have to take the exam. Thank you. PS: Try to make it rain until March 15th so that I don't have to take the subsequent mock exams."
There are also working professionals saying, "Please make it rain heavily so that I can work from home and not go to the office."
In response to everyone's rain prayers, NCM also responded, stating that weather patterns are much more complex than comments on social media, and no matter how sincere the comments are, they cannot simply make it rain heavily whenever requested.
