Thanks to recent heavy rainfall, the deserts of the UAE have sprouted greenery, potentially transforming into vibrant oases in the future.
Arabian gazelles, gazelles, camels, and donkeys have begun to appear in the new "grasslands," with insects even making appearances.
Off-road enthusiast Islam Soliman stated that the long-term effects of ample rainfall include extensive growth of vegetation in mudflat areas, altering the landscape and attracting various creatures with different types of plants.
"I've noticed a rapid increase in the numbers of gazelles and Arabian gazelles in different areas, particularly in the Al Qudra and Al Faqa regions of the Dubai desert. Vegetation growth helps stabilize the sand on dunes, and if rainfall continues to increase, it will also reduce dust levels in surrounding areas," he added.
Frederic Nuyttens, a seasoned desert off-roader, commented, "The UAE desert is more dynamic than people imagine. After millions of years of transformation, it has evolved from an ocean into dry, uninhabited land, yet it still harbors abundant life and vegetation. Recent rainfall has turned some desert areas into lush greenery, providing shelter for many animals."

Experienced off-road driver Deepak Panchariya said, "This transformation is attributed to the UAE's ongoing commitment to ecological balance, such as the artificial cloud seeding project."
