Last week's unprecedented storm caused widespread disruption to the Dubai Metro, and cleanup efforts are still underway. Some stations remain out of service.
On Tuesday, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) issued a request through their application, urging the public to avoid using the metro during peak hours.
“We urge you to reduce metro usage during peak times, plan your trips in advance, and use alternative stations or other public transportation until all stations are fully operational,” the RTA stated.
The RTA expressed gratitude for commuters' cooperation and understanding during this challenging period.
Currently, all stations on the Dubai Metro Green Line have resumed normal operations. However, the Red Line is still running on a reduced schedule. With 35 stations on the Red Line, some stations will not be stopping points.
The Red Line will run from Centrepoint to Expo 2020 and UAE Exchange metro stations. However, it will not stop at Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy stations.
Passengers departing from Centrepoint station will need to transfer at Business Bay or Al Khail stations, with alternative bus services provided by the authorities.
